Box 4901
“A profound must-see.” – CBC
“Francis’s writing has the sparkle of the best of David Sedaris.” – NOW magazine
Box 4901 made its debut as part of the 2018 SummerWorks Lab Series. It was directed and co-created by Rob Kempson and featured the talents of a phenomenal cast and crew. NOW magazine gave it five Ns and said it was “essential,” and The Globe and Mail called it a “knockout show.”
The show made its world premiere as part of the 2019/2020 Buddies in Bad Times Theatre season to sold-out audiences and was nominated for three Dora Mavor Moore Awards. The book version, Missed Connections: A Memoir in Letters Never Sent, was published in 2021.
Much gratitude to Rob Kempson and Stacey Norton as well as Lucy McPhee, Brandon Kleiman, Adrian Shepherd-Gawinski, Curtis te Brinke, Katherine Smith, Katie Saunoris and Cosette Pin. And thank you to the incredible Buddies cast: Colin Asuncion, Hume Baugh, Samson Bonkeabantu Brown, Keith Cole, Daniel Jelani Ellis, Jeff Ho, Michael Hughes, Indrit Kasapi, Daniel Krolik, Eric Morin, G. Kyle Shields, Chy Ryan Spain and Geoffrey Whynot.
